Alberttown Man Slapped With Gun Charges, Police Shooting

On Monday, an Alberttown man was remanded to jail after receiving several charges. He was charged for illegal possession of a gun and ammunition and for shooting at police officers. Twenty-five-year old Keiron Hinds denied all three of the charges that were laid against him. The Court heard that on the day of the incident, the Police responded to a 911 Emergency call, during which the defendant was described to an officer. Upon arrival on the scene, the Police approached Hines who ran, while firing shots in the direction of the officers. He was however later apprehended by other Police officers as he continued to run. He was remanded to jail and is expected to return to Court on May 14th.
