Investigators believe that a dark brown cow was responsible for a fatal accident on the East Coast Public Road. According to police, at around 9:45 Tuesday night 24-year-old Kelron Benjamin of 114 Surat Drive Triumph, ECD was driving west along the Grove Public Road when his car collided with a cow that was on the roadway. The collision tore the roof off of the vehicle. As a result, Benjamin and his passenger 32-year-old Rakesh Singh of Lot 46 Village Corentyne, Berbice received multiple serious injuries. They were both taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital in an unconscious state. Singh was pronounced dead on arrival while Benjamin was admitted with head injuries.
