BVI MAN ARRESTED OVER “FAKE COKE” SALE

A man in the British Virgin Islands who allegedly tried to sell baking soda as cocaine has been arrested on drug charges.

Verne Forbes, Jr is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled drug, and one count of possession of cocaine with intent to supply.

The court heard that Forbes was then seen entering a nearby parking lot with a Caucasian male, and they appeared to be acting suspiciously.

As police approached both men, Forbes allegedly threw a ‘white object’ in nearby bushes.

Police reportedly retrieved three dime bags containing a white powder from the bushes.

“Officer, it belongs to me… It is baking soda. I broke and I was trying to make an easy $50 off this white dude,” he reportedly told police.

Forbes was subsequently arrested and charged.
