On Wednesday, police acting on intelligence gathered went to a location at Hill Street between Princess and Norton streets in Georgetown and arrested a male for unlawful possession of a firearm, ammunition, and narcotics. A bag containing a pistol with seven live ammunition and also 158 grams of suspected cannabis packaged in small-sized zip lock bags were found in very close proximity of where he was standing. The suspect, is a 25-year-old laborer of Diamond Housing Scheme, EBD. The police have yet to release his name to the public. Nonetheless, he is currently in police custody and is assisting with the investigation.
