
Police are on the hunt for a man who fled from the scene of an accident after he allegedly struck and killed a pensioner with his motorcycle. On Monday night, 70-year-old Herbert Caser rode his bicycle for the last time on the Nimes Public Road. Caesar, a father of two went on the road to complete an errand when the MOTOR cyclist allegedly struck him off his bicycle. The accident reportedly occurred in front of this popular rum shop. One man who was at the scene recounted what he witnessed.

The motorcyclist left behind his motorcycle bearing registration plate, CJ 5283. However, another person who didn’t want to appear on camera said that she saw the suspect flee.
Relatives at the dead man’s home were all in a sombre mood as Caesar would have been celebrating his 71st birthday yesterday. Instead of festive celebration family members are now left making preparations for his funeral. His wife Shundel Caesar said that police are still in pursuit of the motorist. Up to press time, the police noted that they are making stringent efforts to apprehend him.
