Guyana has 73 cases of COVID-19

Guyana now has seventy-three confirmed cases of COVID-19. There are currently 8th deaths and twelve recoveries so far. The Ministry of Public Health thus far has tested four hundred and ten persons. There are four patients currently warded in the GPHC COVID-19 ICU. Seventeen are in institutional quarantine and fifty-four in isolation.

The Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit of the MOPH has reported for the period under review March 16 to April 24th, 2020 that seven hundred and ninety-three persons have been on Home Quarantine. To date, five hundred and ninety-six persons have completed their 14 days quarantine and they were cleared by the Health Emergency Operations Centre and one hundred and ninety-seven persons continue to be monitored.
