Icebergs For Drinking Water?

A marine salvage expert has unveiled plans to tow icebergs from Antarctica to South Africa to help solve Cape Town’s crippling water shortage. Nick Sloane said he was looking for investment to guide huge chunks of ice across the ocean and melt them down into millions of litres of drinking water. South Africa has declared a national disaster after two of its driest years on record in 2015 and 2016. Authorities have warned that the city’s water could run out as soon as next month if the dry spell continues.
