The press corps camped outside of the Special Organized Crime Unit Headquarters on Camp St. awaiting the arrival of Former President Bharat Jagdeo. Jagdeo was invited to the SOCU headquarters to answer to matters in relation to the Pradoville 2 land issue.
The PPP General Secretary said that now that he has shown up at the SOCU office, all the members of the current administration has to also be invited to the Unit to answer to the charge PPP brought against them.
After some other comments, Jagdeo went to the interview with the head of SOCU Sydney James, accompanied by his lawyer, former Attorney General Anil Nandalall.
Jagdeo and Nandalall seemed to have pulled a political and legal stunt that might implicate the APNU/AFC administration. Emerging after the brief meeting, Jagdeo said that he got the head of SOCU to commit to questioning all the members of the current administration
He also said that other than the Patterson matter, they have five other charges to lay against the Granger administration.
When asked what he was questioned about, his attorney told the press corps that he invoked his presidential privilege and refused to answer any questions.
