A Ministerial Joint Task Force was formed to address the threat of COVID-19. This afternoon, the team held a joint press conference in response. In the press conference the Director-General of the Civil Aviation Authority, Egbert Field said the Cheddi Jagan Airport and Eugene Correia Airport will be closed to international flights from Wednesday night which will take effect from midnight and will remain in place for two weeks.
