Private Sector donations boost CDC hamper distribution

This morning, the Civil Defence Commission received some much-needed support for its national food hamper distribution campaign. Their efforts were boosted by several donations from members of the private sector. Saj Rice Group Incorporated donated 70 bales of 30kg rice valued at $208,250, while David Persaud Investments Limited has handed over a cheque valued $200,000.  Joe Jagmohan, proprietor of International Import and Supplies Limited also donated a cheque for $500,000. Citizens who wish to make a contribution are encouraged to drop all donations at the CDC’s Head Office at Thomas Lands between 09:00am and 3:00pm daily while cash and cheques can be deposited in its Republic Bank Account 96356519938.
