Rainy Commute

Much of Georgetown awoke to a water commute after heavy rainfall which began late last night, persisted well into the morning hours.

Residents living in low lying areas and near large canals report at least two inches of flooding. Despite reports of a non-functioning pump at the sussex street koker, much of the water drained away by midday. It should be noted, that the consistent cleaning has greatly improved the draining and storage capacity of the city’s canals.
