Officers of the Northern Division in Trinidad continue in their anti-crime operations, with the aim of reducing reports of serious crimes in their district. The division, saw a total of 823 mobile patrols conducted and 1393 persons were challenged over a seven-day period. These exercises resulted in a total of three firearms being recovered and seized. At least 50 persons were also detained during this period on inquiries into several robbery-related, firearm-related, and larceny related offences. Additionally, no homicides were recorded during this period.
