Two Men Held in Connection with the Murder of Berbice Butcher

Two men held in connection with the murder of Berbice Butcher, Saeed Hamid, 56yrs of 41 Queenstown Village, Corriverton, Berbice on April 19, 2018 at D’ Edward Village, West Coast Berbice are formally charged with the capital offence and will make their court appearance this morning at Blairmont Magistrate’s Court.

 They are: Satrohan ‘Bluey’ Madray, 32 of lot 1 Section ‘G’ D’ Edward Village and Antonio Balroop, 30yrs, an ex-policeman of 313 Plantation Hope, West Coast Berbice.

 The victim’s (deceased) son, Asif Hamid, 23, who is presently remanded on a murder charge, is also charged with Accessory Before the Fact and will also be arraigned before the said court this morning.
