Windrush Immigration Crisis Continues In Jamaica

Jamaica’s State Minister in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Pearnel Charles Jr disclosed that Jamaica has referred 30 cases related to the Windrush immigration crisis to the British High Commission.

In highlighting the efforts of his government to assist undocumented migrants, Charles stated that “the ministry through the Consular Affairs Department and the Jamaican High Commission in London continue to actively monitor developments to inform our responses and (provide) advice to our nationals.”

He also urged those affected by the Windrush crisis to make contact with the Foreign Ministry to help them determine how to pursue their cases by the British High Commission in Kingston.
